You Are the Frequency: Soul Expression Through Form

I recently shared a post about my energetic experience with the 60’s and 70’s and the similar themes that play out decade after decade. Today, I want to share how that reflection became something deeply personal—a lens into the soul’s journey.

Decades as Soul Expression

Sitting in the Woodstock museum, listening to the stories and songs of the 60’s, I began to see each decade as a reflection point of the soul’s unique and purposeful journey in form.

Each decade expressed differently—yet all are woven from the same thread of Source. The same note, played in new chords, new songs, new octaves throughout time.

So often, we try to “figure out” who we are. We shape ourselves into what we think we should be. We punish ourselves for not being who we were told to be.

But imagine if the 2020’s tried to be the 80’s again. You can’t become the 80’s. You can remember them, reference them, sample them—but you can’t recreate that essence.

And that is my point friends. We can’t create or recreate ourselves into someone or something we’re not.

Authentic Self as Your Soul’s Signature

What if you saw your life like a decade?

The ups and downs, the shifts and changes. The unique energy that can be felt when someone says your name. Ah yes… the 80’s. Ah yes… Jesus. Ah yes… Bob Smith.

Even if someone doesn’t know your whole story, they can feel your essence—when you allow it to authentically shine through.

The real question is: Have you let yourself know the True you?

Because only when your authentic Self is in the driver’s seat can your unique frequency illuminate your journey—and the journeys of everyone it touches.

The Body as Sacred Instrument

At the end of the museum, I watched a short film of Woodstock performances, and something clicked.

Watching Hendrix, Joplin, Santana, Havens… I didn’t just see them playing instruments. I saw the instrumentation of their essence.

Their body, their presence, their voice—that was the instrument. The guitar? Just the amplifier.

A vibrant collage of diverse individuals expressing joy, culture, identity, and connection. The image includes: a group of women of different ages smiling in colorful clothing; traditional African drummers in red performing energetically; a woman with a prosthetic leg wearing athletic wear and headphones; a young boy in a wheelchair holding hands with a woman beside him; three young Black men in modern neutral-toned fashion; a woman in a purple sweater smiling with confidence; a laughing baby with Down syndrome; and a group of ethnically diverse young adults in white shirts and serious expressions, representing unity and inclusivity.

A guitar has six strings. And yet—endless genres, infinite songs.

The guitar is the instrument, just as your body is your instrument. Expression flows through it. You can’t separate one from the other.

Each body is its own sacred frequency. A guitar will never be a drum set. A willow will never be an oak. And still, we try to be what we are not—because we were never taught how to just be what we are.

It’s not about your job, your income, your body shape, or your family structure. It’s about the essence of who you Truly are, expressed as and through your form.

The Essence Always Remains

This point landed again as I drove home and passed a deer on the roadside.

That body no longer carried life force. Yet it was still a deer.

The essence had moved on, but its imprint remained. Just as the scent of a loved one on their clothing can transport you to their presence—it’s not the fabric or the scent itself, but the frequency they infused into it.

That’s the truth of essence.

You don’t have to try. You just have to be.

But yes—unlearning takes effort. And that’s why ancient practices of meditation, stillness, energy work and embodiment endure. They aren’t trends. They’re portals. They’re how we return to Self.

You are your own sacred instrument. Your decade. Your frequency.

And the song you’re meant to play?

Only you can play it.
