Moksha: The Paradox, the Metaphor, the Homecoming

The Blog That Wasn’t (Yet Is)

In 2014, I started a very short-lived blog called Mission Moksha (Mission Liberation), as I felt a deep connection to the word and meaning of moksha. I was deep in my Type A Hippie era at the time—working, in graduate school, and enrolled in a long-form yoga teacher training—so I eventually let it go.

The irony that Mission Moksha was abandoned because of those striving pursuits is not lost on me now. I hope that after reading this, we can giggle together at the irony of it.

Moksha vs. Mukti: A Subtle Distinction

Many describe moksha as liberation- freedom from the illusion of separation from Source. Though I didn’t quite know why, I’ve felt connected to this particular word.

For example, Mukti holds a similar resonance, but moksha always felt deeply personal in a way I couldn’t explain.

As I’ve learned in writing this piece and following the nudges, mukti refers to the act of liberation, and moksha to the state of liberation. Just another example as to how our inner guidance never fails us—so long as we trust it.

Breadcrumbs and Interconnectedness

Now, this might feel like an unrelated tangent, and please allow that experience to be—for it will serve you well as you continue reading this post.

I’ve been collecting breadcrumbs lately…

By that, I mean noticing and connecting dots that once felt unrelated—but now reveal themselves as intricately woven. This breadcrumb collecting has become one of my most powerful practices in embodying the truth of interconnectedness. And I invite you to try it, if it resonates.

I’ll speak more about this in another post, as it’s also connected to a deeper understanding of manifestation I never expected to uncover.

Alan Watts and Free Energy

This morning while pushing Pepper in his stroller, I was listening to Alan Watts speak about moksha and “free energy.” And my whole body started to tingle and sparkle.

You see, in February 2025, I began receiving transmissions about free energy. At first, I wondered, Could this be a path to actual free energy in the world? I even published the concept as prior art to ensure it would remain free for all… just in case. 😉

The teaching has continued to unfold, spanning everything from quantum energetics to the breath. But every insight—every radiant thread—has pointed back to one thing:

We are all One. Everything is Source.

(As always friend, please connect with whatever word or vibration speaks to you if Source doesn’t resonate.)

A Teaching Unfolds: Moksha is a Paradox and a Metaphor

This morning, as I sat with my coffee in Upstate NY, listening to the birds and Pepper snore—I followed one such breadcrumb.

And I realized something:

Moksha is both a paradox and a metaphor.

Moksha as a Paradox

We seek moksha.
Strive to attain it.
To find it.
Experience it.
Be it.

But here’s the paradox: once you’re in the state of consciousness called moksha, there’s no moksha. There’s no name for it. No identity. No arrival. No destination.

Because even moksha becomes a label.
Another goal. Another illusion of attainment.
Another subtle reinforcement of separation.

And yet…

As limited as language is, I’ll say this:
To be moksha is to realize you always were and always are.
As is everything.

And when everything is One, there are no “things”—no separate parts to compare or chase.

Moksha as a Metaphor

This paradox is where the metaphor reveals itself.

Moksha becomes a symbol for all the ways we seek, strive, and cling to becoming.

Every identity we grasp.
Every goal we chase.
Every regret, every fantasy.
Every moment spent tethered to the past or caught in the future…

They all shine a light on the spectrum of liberation. They all point, even if faintly, toward home.

And yet we’re free to choose how we play (yes, play!). That’s the gift of maya – illusion, magic, measurement – and with it, the gift of free will.

The Choice: Separation or Liberation

You are in choice friend….

Do you wish to focus your attention on separation?

Being a certain way. Looking a certain way.
Attaining certain goals.
Judging yourself and others.
Fearing what might be and regretting what could have been

Do you wish to shine a light toward liberation?

In full acceptance and trust of what is.

For when we realize that the same energy used to chase moksha (only to find it was always within) is the very energy we use to resist what’s here now… we begin to awaken.

And in that realization — everything shifts.

From Reaching to Embracing

For example, I used to think of Samadhi as this unattainable goal, only to realize it’s an integral and natural part of meditation—with various layers as you move deeper into that state of being.

It no longer felt so far away and I realized I was already experiencing it.

My mind made it unattainable.

10 different hands each holding a puzzle piece and bringing them together so share each unique one of the whole embracing their puzzle piece

And now, I’m seeing moksha the same way.
These aren’t things we “attain.” They are truths we remember.

And so the meaning of moksha reveals itself—not through attainment, but remembrance

It’s the subtle, yet powerful difference between reaching and embracing.
Reaching implies lack.
Embracing honors the abundance that’s always been here.

You Are Enough

So embrace who you are.
Embrace who everyone and everything is.

Just being is enough—nothing more, nothing less.

And being “enough” is not settling.
It’s the neutral, spacious truth that:

You are not without and there is nothing to do.
You are enough just as you are.
And that is perfection.

I know—enough and perfect are charged words. If they’ve stirred something to the surface, I invite you to sit with it in compassionate curiosity. In addiction recovery they say you must acknowledge something before letting it go if it no longer serves you. As someone who chose to ride the addiction train in this life—the most potent addiction today, I feel, are the stories we tell ourselves in fear and limitation.

Presence Is the Portal

Now you might be thinking, “Sure Blair… just BE. Super easy 🙄.”

And honestly? Yeah. I get it.
But what if it’s not hard?
What if we only believe it is?

Personally, I don’t feel like I’m living in perpetual embrace of what is. And I can tell you, from my experience, that being present is an entry point to embracing what is.

And that was the original teaching of free energy—the dynamic equilibrium of two opposing forces.

I soon came to realize, this describes being present.

The present moment is both a beginning and an ending and so it is both and yet it is neither. Hence, the dynamic equilibrium between two opposing forces.

And the very first teaching that came through when I realized I was channeling was the Presence Program. You see… breadcrumbs.

Which—fun fact—I just realized that breadcrumb while writing this.

The message I’m getting in this moment to share is that the energy of connecting the dots needed to be infused directly into this piece. So please embrace as you wish!

The Joy Behind It All

And with presence… you begin to trust.
You recognize you have what you need, when you need it.

There’s no labeling of moments as fortunate or misfortunate.
Things just are.

This doesn’t mean we “tap out” of life. If you’re here, it’s for good reason!

With incarnation comes the full spectrum of emotions that express through our experiences.

And when one can stop clinging to the stories of suffering, emotions become what they were always meant to be:

Energy in motion.

You experience.
You feel. You breathe.
And you remember:

Even in the most heart-wrenching moment,
there is still joy—
because you know the truth of what Is.

If you’re like me, you might be reading this and thinking, Well, are you there yet?
If you ask Blair — it’s a big ol’ hell no.
But if you ask the Source energy that resides in all of us?
It would say: You always are. You can never not be.

Isn’t it time we get out of our own way….
