What Does It Mean To Be Free

Honestly ask yourself, What does it mean to be free?

It’ll mean something different for everyone, yet it often brings up: having wealth, no responsibilities, feeling untethered with nobody to answer to and zero fear.

But it can sometimes create a sense of separation.

So today, I want a share a perspective of what it means to be free. One that is not rooted in separation, but in unity consciousness.

The Essence of Free

It all started one year ago when a channeling came through emphasizing the importance of sitting with the essence of the word free.

And it wasn’t just once channeling. The message came through two separate times.

As I sat with every iteration of the word free, I felt no closer to understanding the message.

Months later, I explored the etymology of the word free. I learned that it traces back to Proto-Germanic frijaz, meaning “beloved” or “not in bondage,” and to a Proto-Indo-European root, priHós or *preyH, meaning “loved”, “to please” and “dear”.

I began to understand, but not in a way I could put words to.

And it was only in writing my last piece, about needing validation, that I finally understood the assignment.

While writing, I typed: ”how do we shift out of this deeply ingrained need for validation”?

As I finished typing, I heard:

“Understand that validation means you belong”.

This was the aha moment that I thought might never come.

It all clicked into place.

What Does It Mean To Be Free

Needing to be validated by another creates the illusion of fragile or conditional worthiness. We look outside of ourselves for confirmation that we are worthy, loved and belong.

But what if your worth was never dependent on someone else?

What is being free begins with knowing you are inherently worthy?

Recognizing that:

To be free is to know that you belong and that you are loved.
You always have been and always will be.
Because it is your birthright.

And you don’t have to change who you are. You just have to remember who you are.

Remember that you are the embodiment of the frequency of love.

And because you are…

Then every being is also the embodiment of the frequency of love. Just having a different experience.

And as we individually and collectively loosen the grip on beliefs that keep us in separation, we become aware of the interconnectedness of everything….and no-thing.

We honor and celebrate our differences.

As we step into unity consciousness.

Friends…

What if this is what it means to be free?

Until next time friends, stay curious
